April 2021 AAPI Dem Club Book of the Month

Dear Community Members and Allies, we are proud to announce the AAPI Dems “Books of the Month.” This “Book Club” project is to uplift AAPI voices in literature, both at the Adult and Children’s literature levels. Each month we will announce our choices for the month. For April, we have chosen “Minor Feelings, An Asian American Reckoning” by Cathy Park Hong and “One Afternoon” by Yumi Heo. We are proud to start this initiative and should you have any suggestions, please email us at aapidemclub@gmail.com.

Congressional Earmarks 101

Dear friends,

Please join the SD AAPI Dem Club on this Wednesday (March 17th) evening at 7:30p for a special FREE 30-minute virtual briefing on how San Diego’s nonprofits and governmental entities can get the most out of Community Project Funding (“congressional earmarks”).

The presentation will be hosted by veteran Capitol Hill staffer Joon Suh, and will be OPEN TO THE PUBLIC (non-club Members welcome). Please RSVP by email (aapidemclub@gmail.com) with your name and affiliation to receive the zoom link. Deadline to RSVP will be 6pm on Wednesday. We hope to see you then.
